One of the Nuremberg laws, promulgated on September 15, 1935. It nullified the Jews' German citizenship. From this point on, Jews were to be subjects of the state. The immediate result of this legislation was that all Jews remaining in the civil service were dismissed. The foundation for most of the anti-Jewish legislation in later years was the Citizenship Law.
